Statue/mask of a witch doctor. The lower head is painted white, symbolizing communion with god and tribal ancestors, while its mouth is open and hollow, symbolizing readiness to deliver important messages. The eyes protrude, symbolizing the ability to see into the future. A set of stairs leading upward is carved into the center of the forehead, symbolizing the ability to communicate with the afterlife, and the crown denotes high tribal status. Above are three joined heads, whose hands are crossed, mouths are opened, and eyes protruding, representing communion with tribal ancestors. The top of the statue/mask is adorned with feathers, a symbol of happiness.
